Ayur Times: Live a Healthier, Happier and Longer Life
How to Live a Healthier, Happier & Longer Life
You should start your journey to live a healthier, happier & longer life with the following important steps of Preventive Ayurveda:
Step 1: Check your Body Type
You must know your body type that is which dosha dominates in your body. You are likely to suffer from a disease belonging to that dosha. Therefore, it is a basic necessity for a healthy and disease-free life to know your dosha proportions. Then take preventive measures by correcting daily routine, diet, and lifestyle accordingly. The following quizzes can help you to know your dosha proportion:
At the end of the test, you will find a bar chart, take a screenshot and keep it with you.
Step 2: Correct your Daily Routine.
A person who seeks good health for the whole life should follow some principles of daily routine. In ayurveda, it is called Dinacharya. These principles help to avoid all types of physical as well as mental diseases. Further, Dinacharya promotes longevity and general wellbeing. It delays aging and promotes healthy body weight. It also helps you to prevent all types of metabolic disorders, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, wrinkles, early aging, polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), obesity, hormonal imbalance, thyroid disorders, and several other diseases.
Step 3: Remove Toxins
Overeating, wrong dietary habits and unhealthy foods contribute to poor digestion. Poor digestion results in the formation of Ama Dosha (toxins) in your body. Ama Dosha is mainly responsible for almost all diseases. It is very sticky and heavier in nature. It sticks to channels and blocks the natural flow of dosha in the body. Ultimately, it results in an alternation of natural functions of tissues and causes discomfort in organs and tissues, which is called disease. So, we need to remove it on a regular basis to remain healthy. For this ayurveda, suggest fasting.

Step 4: Correct your Diet.
Ayurveda says your food is primary medicine. When diet is correct, there is no need for any medicine. When diet is wrong, no medicine will work. So, a great emphasis is given on dietary correction in ayurveda. Here is the diet that you should follow:

- Ayurvedic Diet Plan: Get Rid of Any Disease with One Diet.
- Ayurvedic Dosha Diet.
Step 5: Correct your Mental Well-being – Achara Rasayana
You should live in a way that can help you to keep stress away. Ayurveda provides very important guidelines in the name of Achara Rasayana. If you follow these rules, you will never suffer from any mental illness, low memory, age-related memory loss, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, depression, and psychosomatic disorders. It will also help you to avoid about 95% of neurological disorders and 100% of psychosomatic disorders.
