Ajmodadi Churna Benefits & Medicinal Uses
Ajmodadi Churna is an effective medicine for disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. It reduces pain, inflammation, and swelling of joints and improves joint mobility.
Rheumatoid arthritis
Ajmodadi Churna is a drug of choice for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RA is related to AMAVATA in Ayurveda, which occurs due to the accumulation of AMA (toxins) in the body. It prevents AMA formation and stimulates its digestive functions and expulsion of AMA from the body. It also reduces already accumulated AMAVISHA in the body and alleviates its effects on different organs in the body including joints. It reduces swelling, inflammation, stiffness, and pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis. It is the best medicine when the patient has more joint stiffness. If the patient has a severe pain with the acute aggravation of RA, then it is given along with Mahavat Vidhwans Ras or Mahayograj Guggulu and Maha Rasnadi Kwath. If the patient has mild to moderate pain, but the condition is chronic, then it can be used along with Yograj Guggulu, Tapyadi Loha, and Amritarishta.
Sciatica
Ajmodadi Churna reduces Vata aggravation that causes sciatic nerve irritation. The most common underlying causes of Sciatica are herniated disc, bone spur, and spinal stenosis, which compress the nerve and cause inflammation, pain, and numbness along the course of sciatic nerve. Ajmodadi Churna also affects all these underlying conditions by providing strength to the spine and helps to restore natural health of the spine. However, this process takes a few months, but it starts reducing symptoms of Sciatica within a few days.
