Churna

Asthisamharakadi Churna

Asthisamharakadi Churna (also called Asthisamharaka Choornam) is used for enhancing the recovery process in bone fracture and joint dislocation. After surgical treatment of these conditions, Asthisamharaka Churna is used for accelerating fracture healing and strengthening the surrounding supportive structures. This combination of herbs is more effective than Cissus Quadrangularis alone. It is first described in Bhaishajya Ratnavali.

Asthisamharakadi Churna increases the rate of the proliferative physiological process and promotes osteoblastic proliferation in the bone, which speeds up healing process from a fracture. It improves mineralization of the bone, so it is also beneficial in weakened bones or osteoporosis. It restores the strength of the joint in case of joint dislocation. For best results, it can be used along with Gandha Thailam. The combination of these ayurvedic medicines also helps to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation.
