Balajeerakadi Kashayam is an ayurvedic medicine mainly used for diseases of respiratory system. It helps to reduce a cough and eases in breathing. Pharmacological Actions

Ingredients in Balajeerakadi Kashayam pacify Kapha Aggravation and acts as potent mucolytic agent. It reduces mucus production and reduces accumulated mucus content in the lungs by improving its expectoration and reducing thickness and stickiness. Furthermore, it also acts anti-inflammatory and soothes the lungs. In most cases, it is used along with Pippali Churna (Long Pepper Powder) to enhance its effectiveness for these actions. It is most suitable for patients with a productive cough.

Balajeerakadi Kashayam Churna

If you are using Balajeerakadi Kashayam Churna, then take 60 grams churna in 960 ml water. Boil to reduce it 120 ml Balajeerakadi liquid. The dosage is 30 to 60 ml.

The general dosage of Decoction (Kwath) prepared with Balajeerakadi Kashayam Churna is as follows.

Balajeerakadi Kashayam Liquid is readymade concentrated decoction and can be used in the following dosage.

Balajeerakadi Kashayam Tablets are the extract tablets of the Balajeerakadi decoction.

Adjuvants

The best adjuvant is Pippali Churna (long pepper powder). For improving its efficacy, one can also use Sitopaladi Churna along with its consumption.
