Medha Vati contains Acorus Calamus, which is known for β-asarone content, which is likely to be toxic. Secondly, it can also induce uterine contractions and its emmenagogue action can promote bleeding. It also contains Celastrus Paniculatus, which is known for its abortifacient and can cause miscarriage in pregnant women. Therefore, Medha Vati should not be taken during pregnancy.

I’m living with epilepsy. I was watching Baba Ramdev’s video about Divya Medha Vati tablets and Yoga and came to this website. I’d started my treatment with Ayurvedic medicines but even after taking medicines for a over 18 months it did not help. I then switched to Allopathic medicines for few months but the dosage was so high that I started suffering from memory loss since then. I then switched to Homepathic medicines but that did not do any good to me. I then switched back to Allopathic, now the seizures are under control but I have 10 tablets a day and I know that these are not good for my health. I’m 34 and my weight is just 46, its not increased since 12th. It has been in between 46-50 kgs always. I’m really fed up of seizures. I face seizures in the night (while I’m sleeping). Its just for a minute not more than that but I wish I’m cured. I’ve heard that they are controllable and not curable and that has killed half the confidence. I don’t want to have these medicines. I feel as though I’m having actual drugs or chemicals. Sorry for this lengthy conversation.

Let me Congratulate Ayurveda for making this Gem of a medicine because of which I came back to my normal life. I was suffering from depression for a long time and I consulted allopathic doctor, who prescribed allopathic medicine as usual.
