Kokilaksha Kashayam is an ayurvedic medicine mainly used for hyperuricemia (high uric acid level in the blood) and gouty arthritis. The regular use (3 to 12 weeks) of Kokilaksha Kashayam is high beneficial for the treatment of gout.

Pharmacological Actions

Kokilaksha Kashayam is likely to increase elimination of uric acid and other toxins from the body. Secondly, it has anti-inflammatory and detoxifying actions, which helps to reduce inflammation and detoxify the body.

The combination of Talmakhana, Giloy, and Pippali Churna reduces Aam formation in the body, improves digestion, modulates metabolism, and increases the elimination of AMA toxins from the body. Hence, it helps in the management of diseases in which AMA is the main underlying cause.

It is best for patients who suffer from hyperuricemia, gout and rheumatoid arthritis with a feeling of weakness or debility.

In addition, it is also helpful for improving immunity, relieving joint pain, ankle pain, and feet pain accompanying by tenderness and stiffness.

Kokilaksha Kashayam Churna

If you are using Kokilaksha Kashayam Churna, then take 10 grams churna in 240 ml water. Boil to reduce it 60 ml Kokilaksha liquid. The dosage is 30 to 60 ml.

The general dosage of Decoction (Kwath) prepared with Kokilaksha Kashayam Churna is as follows.

Kokilaksha Kashayam Liquid

Kokilaksha Kashayam Liquid is readymade concentrated decoction and can be used in the following dosage.

The general dosage of Kokilaksha Kashayam readymade Liquid is as follows.

Adults5 to 15 ml *
Maximum Possible Dosage30 ml Per Day (in divided doses)
* Twice a day with 4 times boiled and cooled water
Best Time to Take: Before Food
Adjuvant: Add Pippali Churna 125 to 500 mg

Kokilaksha Kashayam Tablets

Kokilaksha Kashayam Tablets are the extract tablets of the Kokilaksha decoction.

The general dosage of Kokilaksha Kashayam Tablets is as follows.

Maximum Possible Dosage4 tablets Per Day (in divided doses)
* Twice a day with warm water
Best Adjuvant: Lukewarm water and take it with Pippali Churna 125 to 500 mg
Best Time to Take: 30 minutes Before Food
Note: The dosage is according to 1000 mg tablet of Kokilaksha Kashayam.
