Menosan tablets help alleviating symptoms like hot flashes due to soothing action. The licorice, Shatavari, Centella Asiatica, Jaharmohra bhasma all these ingredients help reducing the sensation of warmth or heat in the body. Secondly, hot flashes occur due to decrease in estrogen level. Phytoestrogens in Menosan help compensating the estrogen needs and prevents quick fall of estrogen level. Gradual fall of estrogen level produces a fewer hot flashes.
Loss of Libido
Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) present in Menosan increases libido in women and reduces anxiety.
Mood Swings
Hormonal changes during menopause results in mood swings and emotional disturbances. Phytoestrogens (having estrogenic activities) in Menosan prevent sudden fall in estrogen level and provide natural support for reducing mood swings and emotional disturbances. The main ingredient of Menosan Shatavari or Asparagus and licorice play a vital role in alleviating mood swings.
Night Sweats
Intense bouts of sweating occur commonly in nights during menopause are known as night sweats. These can be mild to severe. The moderate to severe night sweats need medical attention and treatment. Menosan due to Shatavari, Ashoka and Licorice works grate alleviating severity of night sweats and decreasing frequency of night sweating bouts. Menosan has capacity to restrain night sweats with the help of phytoestrogens.
Thus, if hot flushes, excessive sweating or night sweats are your primary menopausal symptoms, than you might consider using Menosan Himalaya Tablets. Menosan tablets are specifically made to control menopausal symptoms.
Dryness
Dryness of the lower part of the female reproductive tract is one of the symptoms of menopause, which happens due to decrease in production of estrogen or due to lower level of estrogens and progesterone. It affects the moisturized thin layer that coats the mucosal walls. Menosan tablet helps increasing the production of estrogens and provides support due to its phytoestrogen content. Thus, it reduces dryness. Licorice present in the Menosan plays a main role in soothing mucous membranes and alleviating pruritus vulvae.
Anxiety & Depression
Changes in hormone production during menopause may affect the mental stability of women, which may lead to depression. Menosan from Himalaya has estrogenic, antioxidant, anti-stress and anxiolytic properties, which help to alleviate the symptoms of menopause like depression and anxiety.
Changes in Odor
The increase in sweat production due to menopausal hormonal changes is a main cause of changes in body odor during menopause. Menosan provides Phytoestrogen support and ingredients like licorice and asparagus reduces sweating, which ultimately reduces odor changes.
Insomnia or Sleep disturbances
During menopausal phase, you cannot sleep or might wake up earlier than you wish. Gotu Kola and Licorice two main herbs in Menosan help to get good sleep or to reduce sleeping problems. If problem is severe, the Menosan can be taken with Saraswatarishta and Praval Pishti or Mukta Pishti.
Urinary Incontinence
Some women experience urinary Incontinence, which may have several causes. The one of common causes is stress incontinence that occurs due to over-exertion or while laughing, sneezing or coughing. In such cases, however, the main medicine is Chandraprabha vati, but Menosan plays a supportive role.
Urinary Tract Infection
During menopause, there are chances of increase in the number of urinary tract infections due to lower level of estrogens. Menosan has phytoestrogens, which help alleviating Urinary Tract Infection (UTIs). Menosan consists of Ashoka tree extract, which is one of the primary ingredients to get relief from menopausal symptoms. The ingredients like Ashoka, Asparagus, Haritaki, Mulethi and Arjuna in Menosan possesses antimicrobial property that fights microbes, which cause urinary tract infection. Most of the women have high risk of Urinary Tract infection in their postmenopausal phase due to lower estrogens, so Menosan plays a preventive role.
Hair Loss & Thin Skin
During menopause phase, many women find their skin get thin and hair loss occurs. These things occur due to lower level of estrogens. Menosan tablet has asparagus ingredient, which has estrogenic property that helps fulfill the estrogens and leads to reduce in hair fall and prevent thinning of the skin.
According to ayurveda, Hair fall also occurs due to mineral losses, which is common in menopause. Kukkutandatvak Bhasma and Jaharmohra bhasma also provide mineral support.
Osteoporosis
Estrogen is important for calcium absorption into the bones. Thus, drop in estrogen levels in the body results into osteoarthritis or low-bone mineral density. Phytoestrogens in Menosan prevent mineral reabsorption from the osteoclastic bones. In addition to it, Menosan also contains Kukkutandatvak Bhasma, which is natural highly absorbable calcium. Therefore, it also increases bone mineral density.

I used Menosan for a year, and hoped it would help with menopause symptoms but unfortunately after a year it caused breast cancer, so I really do not advise to use this medication. I am very angry on websites which advertise this medication which can cause serious diseases for menopausal women
DO NOT USE THIS!!
We don’t advertise the product. We provide information about the product. We also provided a disclaimer in which we stated – don’t use any product without professional advice. Our information is not an alternative to doctor’s advice.
Menosan is contraindicated in hormone-dependent tumors. Self-medication is not recommended. You should consult ayurvedic doctor regularly at least on the interval of 2 weeks when you are using Menosan or similar medicines.
In fact, it does not contain any ingredient that can really cause any type of cancer. However, it might increase the risk of tumor’s growth that you already have and that depends on the hormone. Therefore, it is contraindicated in hormone-dependent tumors. It is also described in the product leaflet that you are getting with Menosan box.
In addition, there are several factors that can increase the risk of breast cancer. Some of these include:
1. Inherited genes that increase the risk of breast cancer
2. Family history of breast cancer
3. History of previous breast conditions – atypical hyperplasia, lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS)
4. Radiation exposure – it also includes mammography and chest X-ray
5. Obesity
6. Beginning of menstrual cycle before age 12
7. Getting pregnant after age of 30 for the first child
8. Having no child or no pregnancy
9. Modern Hormone therapy
10. Consumption of alcohol
This is a list of quite a few factors. There can be several other factors that can increase the risk of breast cancer. Even if you consume dairy products or milk from the animals that produce milk with oxytocin injection, which is now common in India, it can also cause breast cancer.
I know many women who have 3 children, have no history of breast cancer, not obese, not using alcohol etc. and have breast cancer. I understand what you say but i realize now that Menosan caused the tumor to appear, nothing else in description there was not indicated about that, I don’t have cancers in the family and not obese, not drinking or smoking. Women who drink and chain smoke don’t have these cancers.
I tell people now that they do not use this it is so dangerous!!
My gynecologist prescribed me this medicine. Once daily. My estrogen level 12 n progesterone 0.05.
I have diabetes n on insulin.
Should I start this medicine or not?
If your doctor has prescribed it, you should take it. If you have any doubt, discuss it with your doctor.
