Natural Remedies for Gout (High Uric Acid) | Natural Gout Treatment

Is it possible to cure gout and reduce elevated uric acid with nature cure without any medicine? Absolutely, we are doing this with Nature Cure. Let me share the valuable wisdom with you so that you can get relief from joint pain, tenderness, swelling, and inflammation and live a healthier, happier and longer life.

In gout, there is a disturbance in metabolism. Ill metabolism leads to the accumulation of uric acid in the blood and tissues. When uric acid gets supersaturated in the tissues, it starts converting into crystals.

Uric acid crystals are very less soluble at low temperature in cool places of the body. These places include peripheral joints, especially the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. So, their removal from peripheral joints become difficult.

There are mainly two things that happen in your body when you suffer from gout or hyperuricemia.

  1. Underexcretion: Inability to excrete uric acid in urine.
  2. Over-production: Over-production of uric acid in your body.

In about 90% of cases, patients suffer from underexcretion of uric acid. In the remaining cases, over-consumption of purine-rich diet is the main culprit.

So, we mainly need to stimulate the uric acid excretion from the body in most of the cases. The good thing is that Nature Remedies used in Nature Cure help in both cases. It induces uric acid excretion by stimulating the removal of toxins from the body. Further, it prevents the accumulation of uric acid by correcting your dietary habits.

Fasting

For the first 3 days, you have to do fasting. You should not eat anything. You can drink plain water or lemon water. Taking lemon water is highly beneficial for detoxification. However, if you feel appetite, then you can take coconut water for 3 to 5 times a day.

Note: In a few gout patients, Lemon Water initially aggravates the symptoms. If it does not suit you, you can take only water or coconut water.

Intermittent Fasting

In addition to initial fasting for 3 days, you should also opt intermittent fasting.

If you cannot fast for 3 days, then you can also opt intermittent fasting from the first day – eating within 8 hours window of the day and don’t eat a single food item for the remaining 16 hours. The 8 hours window’s right time is from 10 AM to 6 PM. This is the time when your body requires more energy for day to day tasks. According to Ayurveda, in this phase, your body has a high level of digestive capacity.

10 AM to 6 PM Eat Healthy Foods
6 PM to 10 AM (Next Morning) Fasting (Don’t eat anything) *

* Water intake is not restricted. You should drink water as per your thirst.

One Day Fasting

However, along with intermittent fasting, you must live without any food for a day once per week. You should adopt this method for the whole life to live a healthier, happier and longer life (Ayur Times Motto!).

Enema

From the first day, you should take warm water enema each day in the morning. It helps in clearing toxins from the digestive system and reduces uric acid in the blood. It also prevents constipation due to fasting.

How to Take Enema at Home:

In Enema, 300-350 ml water should be taken. It is the best recommendation for water enema in case of adults.

Sunbath

In patients suffering from gout, sunbath is highly helpful for reducing inflammation.

You can sunbathe in the morning or evening. You must sunbathe for 30 minutes a day without wearing any cloth. If it is not possible, you can sunbathe wearing white colored undergarments.

For best results, you also require banana leaves. During sunbath, you should cover the affected parts with banana leaves. After half an hour, wipe your body with cloth dipped in cold water and then you can take a bath with normal water. This process should be repeated at least 3 times a week. However, you should take a sunbath on a daily basis.

In conclusion, taking a sunbath on a daily basis is highly beneficial for a patient suffering from gout.

Sun Charged Water

Water charged in orange colored bottle under sunlight is an ideal natural medicine for gout. Drink 50 ml of sun-charged water 4 times a day for the best results.

Juice Therapy

After the first 3 days, you should take juices for the next 2 to 3 days. The best juice therapy recipe for gout patient is:

Carrot 250 grams
Cucumber 250 grams
Beet Root 50 grams

Take 250 grams carrots, 250 grams cucumber and 50 grams beetroot. Extract their juice and mix them together. Drink this juice twice a day.

  1. Pineapple juice.
  2. Green beans juice (also called French beans or string beans).
  3. Black Cherry Juice.
  4. Celery Juice.

You should drink pineapple juice or eat fresh pineapple every day. Pineapple contains Bromelain, which is a good natural remedy for reducing joint inflammation. In addition to this black cherry juice is highly beneficial. It reduces the recurrence of gout attacks. If black cherries are not available in your place, you can use any type of cherries to get benefits.

Hot Water Therapy

In local treatment, hot water therapy is also very important for dissolving uric acid crystals.

Dip your feet (and affected parts) in hot water for a half an hour. You should repeat this process 3 times a day.

As we discussed earlier, uric acid supersaturated in the form of crystals in cold places like big toe joint. So, this process is most effective for dissolving uric acid crystals and removing from peripheral joints.

Wet Bandage (Cold Wet Pack)

After that, take a cotton bandage and dip it in cold water. Wring it to remove extra water. Apply this wet bandage on the affected parts.

First, we dissolve the uric crystals from the joints. Then we need to increase blood circulation to those areas to remove dissolved uric acid from the joints.

Applying cold wet pack after hot water therapy improves blood circulation to the affected parts. It occurs because of immediate temperature change in that area and your body throws blood supply to those organs. Therefore, cold wet packs have a huge importance in nature cure treatment of gout.

Sun Charged Oil Therapy

Oil charged in red colored bottle under sunlight is a good natural cure remedy used for the massage of the affected area. Apply this oil on parts affected with gout and do gentle massage for 10 to 15 minutes. You should do this at least once per day.

Quick Tip: You can use any oil for sun charge including olive oil and mustard oil. Most naturopaths use olive oil. We recommend sesame oil heated with crushed nutmeg (Jaiphal) and turmeric for best results.

Light Therapy

Similarly, red or orange light is beneficial for reducing inflammation and other symptoms in affected parts with gout. You should throw red or orange light on the affected area for an hour on a daily basis followed by blue light for 2 hours.

If you cannot follow this step, then follow other steps religiously and with a dedication for getting awesome results.
