Panchamrut Loha Guggul (Panchamrit Lauh Guggulu)

Panchamrut Loha Guggul (Panchamrit Lauh Guggulu) is anti-inflammatory, analgesic, nervine tonic and phlebotonic ayurvedic medicines. It acts on the brain, nerves, blood vessels, heart, muscles, bones, and joints. It gives strength and nourishes these organs. It alleviates inflammation, pain, tenderness, and swelling. It is commonly used for the treatment of mental disorders, Neuralgia, Neuritis, Myalgia, Myositis, sciatica, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), lumbar pain (a low backache), osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and symptoms associated with nervine weakness or weakness of the brain.

Preparation Method

For making Panchamrut Loha Guggul, take an iron mortar and put Shuddha Guggulu in it and add a small quantity of mustard oil. Pestle it and gradually add the fine powder of other ingredients of Panchamrut Loha Guggul. When the mixture is ready to make tablets, then make tablets of each 250 mg.

Panchamrut Loha Guggul is less effective in acute cases of these diseases. It is more effective in chronic cases. In some cases, patients have restlessness, vertigo, tenderness, numbness or tingling. In these symptoms, Panchamrit Lauh Guggulu is an effective medicine.  If the patient also has anemia, then it provides good results to improve hemoglobin level and controlling the symptoms of other diseases in which it is indicated.

Panchamrit Lauh Guggulu Benefits & Uses

Panchamrut Loha Guggul improves blood circulation to the brain. It reduces AMA formation and burns the formed AMA (toxins). It is the best medicine for Vata Disorders when Vata aggravation is associated with excess Pitta Dosha.

Neuralgia

Neuralgia is characterized by stabbing, throbbing, burning and pain along the course of the affected nerve. It can be intercostal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, or trigeminal neuralgia etc. Panchamrut Loha Guggul has potent anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective and nervine tonic actions. It alleviates inflammation, soothes the nerve and prevents further damage and injury to the nerve. It reduces burning sensation, tingling, numbness and throbbing pain.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

However, there are several other medicines are used in the management of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Most of them increase heat in the body. Sometimes, patient’s symptoms become worse with these medicines. In some cases, patients experience restlessness, vertigo, discomfort, burning sensation and epigastric tenderness or pain. Joint pain gets worse after touching, pressing or doing massage of the affected joints. In such cases, Panchamrut Loha Guggul is a drug of choice for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis. It reduces the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis and does not increase heat in the body. It is a balanced formulation, which maintains the balance in Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha).

Adjuvant

Panchamrit Lauh Guggulu should be taken with warm milk or warm water. In the case of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Maharasnadi Kwath or Erand Mool Kwath (castor oil plant root decoction) is best adjuvant.
