Swarna Makshik Bhasma

Swarna Makshik Bhasma (Swarnamakshik Bhasma) contains nutrients like iron and copper. These nutrients are essential for many biological functions in the body. Copper and iron both are essential for forming Red blood cells (erythrocytes). Copper aids in the absorption of iron in the body and iron is essential for formation of hemoglobin.

Swarna Makshik Bhasma is an ayurvedic medicine has all nutritional benefits of copper and iron. In addition, it is also important therapeutically in the treatment of anemia, jaundice, insomnia, chronic low grade fever, burning sensation in the eyes, heartburn, burning micturation, bleeding piles, nausea, vomiting, headache with pulsating pain or feeling of burning sensation or heat, itching, leucorrhoea, and other abdominal diseases.

Ingredients (Composition)

Swarna Makshik (Chalcopyrite or copper iron sulphide in English) is the primary ingredient Swarnamakshik Bhasma. It is processed in KULTHI (Horse gram) decoction, castor oil and buttermilk and then prepared dried under sun and heated under high temperature.

Chemical Composition

Swarna Makshik or Chalcopyrite is composed of mainly following elements:

  1. Copper
  2. Iron
  3. Sulfur

So, the raw Swarna Makshik has Chemical formula of Chalcopyrite, which is CuFeS2.

    1. It depends on for which condition it is being used. If you take Swarnamashik Bhasma for anemia, then 3 months therapy is required. However, if you take it for gastritis, hyperacidity, vertigo etc., then you may not require it more than 2 to 4 weeks.

  1. Before 9 months, I have found Sarcoidosis (is a disease involving abnormal collections of inflammatory cells that form lumps known as granulomas. The disease usually begins in the lungs, skin, or lymph nodes.) in Biopsy. Doctor says just wait and see. I take : kanchanar-guggulu+vridhivadhika vati+swarn masik bhasma+siddhamakar dhoj+sitopaladi churna+shringa bhasma+shringarabhra ras mix and take twice a day. after 7 months. In follow-up, nothing reduce, like before. I have same pain in chest. Any suggest for me…
