Diabecon (Tablet & DS Tablet)

Diabecon (Tablet & DS Tablet) is an ayurvedic proprietary medicine and phyto-mineral preparation used for the management of diabetes. However, it is more effective in pre-diabetes and newly detected diabetes mellitus. In other cases of diabetes, it can be used as an adjuvant therapy, but patient may require standard antidiabetic drugs to control the blood sugar level.

  1. I use methi powder only but not reduced sugar level. Can I use Himalaya Diabecon along with Methi? Does it help?

  2. I am taking patanjali Medohar vati and triphala guggul. My sugar levels after taking food is above 210. Can I take diabecon ds with above said medicine.

  3. Can we use diabecon along with Glimepiride (2mg) + Metformin (500mg)? Somebody told it is not effective with Glimepiride. Please advise.

  4. I have been taking diabecon for almost 2 years. My sugar level is maintained. How long should I use? Can I stop now?

    1. Generally, it may require for a lifelong. You can check how your body respond if you decrease its dosage. Monitor your blood sugar and gradually decrease its dosage. If reducing dosage does not cause an increase in blood sugar level, then you may gradually stop it.

  5. My fasting blood sugar is 170 and 3 months’ average is 7.8. Should I take diabecon tablet?

  6. I am a newly sugar patient. I am taking diabecon DS for last three months with glycomet 500. My sugar is now in control, but I am getting foam in my urine from the day I started the medicine. Now what should I do to control this? Kindly advice.
